I started my business in 2002 after 21 years as a professional Zoo Keeper. My experiences in the Zoo field range from general and specialized care of a variety of species, hospital and veterinary assisting, training animals (and staff as well). As The Animal Pro I provide you with professional experienced quality care for your animal family members.
My services include pet sitting (your home or mine), doggie daycare and sleepovers, equine exercising, dog walks, midday “pit stops”and training. I am fully insured for all my services.

Feeding & fresh water for your animals. Raw feeding is not a problem and I have plenty of experience caring for reptiles, exotics, farm animals, birds, fish and pocket pets.
Play time, lots of lovin' and or/walks

Tattoo identification for your dog - I am an authorized agent for The National Dog Registry. I can apply a permanent tattoo i.d. on your dog and register with NDR. Tattoos are safe and visible identification for your beloved canine family member.

Tawny watched our two cats and one dog, as well as our house, on our frequent trips over a period of 15 years. During that time, she handled several “house emergencies”, including a burst water pipe and a host of other issues, all of which she handled like a professional (handyman, pet sitter, or mechanic, as the situation required). The pets obviously adored her, and she shared her encyclopedic knowledge of animals with us many times over the years (about our pets or wild animals in trouble). We love and trust her to the point we still have her come in to check our house twice a week when we’re traveling, even though our pets all died of (very) old age years ago. I would give her more than five stars if I could. She’s a down to earth, no-nonsense, trustworthy professional that I’d recommend to anyone without the slightest hesitation.

Tawny is the best. She has watched my dog for over 10 years and is part of our family. She not only walks the my dog, but also helps with active training. I never worry about going out of town because I know Tawny is there to take care of the house. I can not recommend her highly enough.

Our family loves Tawny! She is an amazing person. We never have to worry when we go on vacation or business trips as we know that our two dogs and house are well cared for. Tawny has taught us some good games to use with our pups. 🙂 She has a warm, kind and caring personality which we truly appreciate as our pups can be quite crazy. We will be relocating out of state and are heartbroken that we will no longer have Tawny available to take care of our pups.

Tawny is the greatest!!! Tawny has been with our family since 2003. Over the years she has helped us with the loss of 5 of our fur babies. All of our pets have loved her dearly. She gives them everything that we can’t always do. She walks, feeds, trains, bathes, and nurtures our fur babies. Tawny has brought to us for years, a professional animal care experience. We are very grateful that we have her. We will continue with her as long as she continues with us, hopefully forever.

Tawny was the best connection we ever made, many years ago. She changed our lives… No more wrangling with pet carriers and boarding house visits. Tawny has been taking care of our (now five) cats during our absences for about six years. We’re comfortable leaving because of her good judgment and outstanding care. Besides taking care of the cats, she monitored various issues with the house, including air conditioning oddities and a window problem. We feel fortunate to have Tawny’s help.
I just had my first “Pet Vacation” with Tawny. I was happy and very impressed when we first met to get acquainted and discuss all the details. I left with an easy heart and found two unstressed and relaxed cats upon my return. Tawny has been bringing me peace of mind for over two years now! I have two fully flighted cockatiels that are my sweet baby girls. It was hard to find a sitter that works with exotic pets and when I first met Tawny, I knew she would be a great fit! I have been able to travel stress-free, and with piece of mind, all because I hired Tawny! My pets are my family. I had an elderly dog that Tawny took wonderful care of. I was relieved to know that Tawny was there with her professional and gentle care! I could not have asked for a better caretaker/pet-sitter. Moving forward, I have a kitten along with my adult cat. This kitten was terrified of strangers, but quickly got comfortable with Tawny, and plays and eats well while I am away. My adult cat loves to play and interact with Tawny. We are so happy that we have Tawny as our cat sitter when we are away. She leaves a detailed, daily record of what has transpired including how Muffin and Mindy have reacted with her. We also know that she watches out over the house while we are away. She receives our highest possible recommendation.
Tawny watched my two parakeets for a week while I was away. She did an awesome job with them, including playing with the one who is more friendly. The cage was cleaned daily and when I got home everything was in perfect order. Her daily record is very detailed and provides a comforting report on what happened during the absence. I felt very comfortable leaving my birds with her and recommend her wholeheartedly. I will use her again when I travel.
